Immersive Experiences and the Future of Briefings

Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are referred to as immersive technologies, enabling one to experience a simulated reality firsthand. This can be applied to enhance situational awareness, support decision-making, and provide action-oriented early warning. We are exploring the use of VR and AR as supplemental material to expand the perspectives available Security Council members, UN principals, and other Member State representatives who may be prevented from experiencing a conflict zone they are deliberating due to costs, logistics and safety.
