“Talking Peace” Series

In September 2020, the Innovation Cell and Shared Studios launched “Talking Peace” as a complementary and innovative public engagement component to the UN DPPA exhibition “Work of Peace”. The series includes curated conversations that take place virtually and connect groups between countries and contexts, who may not otherwise have a platform to be heard. They are designed for communities to share local realities and initiatives in conflict prevention, peacemaking and peacebuilding, as well as express hopes for the future. Acknowledging that DPPA's work can only succeed when it is inclusive, enjoys legitimacy and the broadest support possible, “Talking Peace” is one approach to learn from experiences on the ground, in this case through the power of artful curated conversations using technology as an enabler.
